Hi, to update, I just figured out that removing the ‘Site Title’ and ‘Tagline’ completely under the ‘Customize’ page allows me to get rid of these and just have the header graphic. However, I have two problems with this:
1) When I do this, my site no longer gets an actual title that Firefox can pick up. My site is title-less, which sucks for many things, including poor people wanting to bookmark me. (I notice this is also true for “Perfectly Well”, the site featured as using Opti in your Showcase section.)
2) The search box vanishes completely. And I found that something is putting “display: none” into the css for the searchform class, and I can’t seem to overwrite it, so no other css tweaking has allowed me to just place it on top of the header image. With the layout for our site, I’m happy to have the searchbox over the header image. Is there any way to stop the search box being hidden like this? Not sure where to look for where that css is being generated.
Thanks again!
